Empty Bowls is a worldwide grassroots movement by potters to raise money to end food scarcity. The Center has gathered potters from across the Midland area to create and donate 200 bowls. As a follow up to our 2023 Build-A-Bowl event, we are hoping to create this tradition in Midland. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Midland County Food Assistance Network, serving over 12,600 people facing food scarcity in our county.

With a $30 admission ticket you will receive a meal of soup and breads from local businesses PLUS you can take home your choice of a one-of-a-kind handcrafted bowl by local artisans. This will be a strolling event within the Brick Lobby at Midland Center for the Arts. Tables and chairs will be provided for guests to enjoy food, music, and conversation.

Bowls are generously made by artists from Midland Center's Studio School, Creative 360, Space Studios, Midland Public Schools, Windover High School, and Studio 23, with soups donated by Midland Country Club, Café Zinc, Aster, One Eighteen, Emily Mai's Pho & More, Windover High School/The ReGrow Together Program, and Proper Taco.
