Open to boys & girls ages 9-18 with at least two years of ballet training, no pointe experience is required.

Registration fee online – $15

Registration fee at the door – $20

*If casted, there will be an additional $75 participation fee per dancer to cover shoes, tights, and costuming.

Midland Symphony Orchestra Auditions

The Midland Symphony Orchestra (MSO) has provided mid-Michigan with continuous symphonic music since 1936. Along with concerts featuring renowned guest artists, the MSO also provides educational opportunities through its partnerships with area schools, scholarships, music appreciation initiatives and guest artist master classes and residencies.

The Midland Symphony Orchestra is seeking professional musicians for performances in its 2024/25 Season, with auditions taking place on October 10, 2024. Auditions will be approximately 10 minutes long and will consist of required excerpts, solo selection(s) and possible sight-reading.

The following positions are open: Principal Viola, Section Violin, Section Viola, and Section Cello. Auditions will take place at 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 10. The schedule will be available 3 days ahead of the audition day.

Registration and a $25 refundable deposit are required to arrive by October 7, 2024 for all auditions. Checks should be mailed to 1801 W. Saint Andrews, Midland, MI 48640 and will be returned to each musician at the conclusion of their in-person audition at the Center.

Youth Honor Choirs / Vocalise Auditions

The Youth Honor Choirs Program is dedicated to nurturing the development of young singers through education and performance while encouraging a lifelong appreciation for participation in and enjoyment of music. Vocalise is the choir for beginner and intermediate students in grades 3 - 8.

Midland Center for the Arts Chorale

Midland Center for the Arts Chorale

Chorale features beautiful voices and engaging, stunning repertoire, under the direction of new Conductor Dr. Letícia Grützmann! Chorale accepts members throughout their season.

The Chorale rehearses Mondays from 7-9 PM at the Center.

Do you love singing, but have little time to dedicate to it? Join the Midland Center for the Arts Chorale this fall. The summer season will have only three rehearsals of one hour each, a dress rehearsal, and a concert! The perfect opportunity to have a little taste!

The Men of Music Choir

Men of Music, the Center's all-male adult ensemble, performs a holiday concert and Spring concert annually, rehearsing on Tuesday's from 7 - 10 PM. No audition is required, for more information on joining the Men of Music, please contact Grace Marra. Directed by Grace Marra

Performance Opportunities

Golden Guild

Golden Guild performs in area senior activity centers, residences, and care facilities in May, June, October, November, and December each year. Performances are approximately 35-45 minutes in length. Youth Theatre

Youth Theatre provides a learning experience for those who enjoy performing onstage as well as for those who enjoy working backstage with makeup, props, scenery, and costumes. The rehearsal process is structured to also include education opportunities for youth to develop and build skills in acting, singing, dancing, and technical theatre through special workshops, activities, and exercises.

Rising Stars is designed for current High School students, including rising ninth graders through current graduating seniors, who will work through an intensive rehearsal process and star in a hit musical on the Outdoor Stage!
