On the Auditorium Stage!

Director / Bill Anderson Jr.
Music Director / Jim Hohmeyer
Choreographer / Kelli Jolly

Travel over the rainbow with THE WIZARD OF OZ! This beloved tale comes to life on the Auditorium Stage featuring all the moments and music from the iconic 1939 MGM film. Follow the yellow brick road with Dorothy Gale as she encounters a host of whimsical characters on her journey to the Emerald City: good witches, the Scarecrow, the Tinman, the Cowardly Lion, and the Wicked Witch of the West, who will stop at nothing to get her hands on the ruby slippers. To make it home safely, Dorothy must learn an important lesson: there’s no place like home.

Enhance your theatre experience by following the yellow brick road into curiosity and creation at Midland Center for the Arts!  Discover the science behind - not over - the rainbow, design your own spin on the red ruby slippers, and more as we explore the science and art behind the Land of Oz! Education experience is open to all Wizard of Oz ticket holders. Activities will be available between 4 and 7 PM for Friday and Saturday evening shows, and between 1 and 2 PM for Sunday and Saturday matinee shows.
