Honor Someone Special With a Gift in Their Name

If you have a loved one who has been impacted by the Midland Center for the Arts, Alden B. Dow Museum or Heritage Park, establishing a memorial or tribute gift is a meaningful way to honor your loved one or celebrate a special occasion such as a birthday while supporting our non-profit.

Your memorial or tribute gift will make a difference in the lives of the arts community in the Great Lakes Bay region.

Tribute Gifts

An Example of How It Works

When Sarah's father passed away, she knew she wanted to do something that would establish a lasting legacy for him. She knew how much her father loved visiting the Midland Symphony and wanted to leave a gift that would support art for future generations.

Sarah decided to make a gift to the Midland Center in support of the Midland Symphony in her father's name using appreciated securities. Not only will her father's legacy live on thanks to the gift, but Sarah also received a federal income tax charitable deduction (because she itemizes her taxes) and eliminated capital gains tax on the securities.
