Midland Center Winds Back the Clock with Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along
Center Stage Theatre will close out its 2024/2025 season next month with Merrily We Roll Along, the cult classic musical from legendary composer Stephen Sondheim. With performances May 9 - 18 in Midland Center for the Arts’ Little Theater, this thought-provoking musical travels backward in time to explore friendship, ambition, and the choices we make in reflection of our younger selves. Midland Center’s production is directed by Chad William Baker, with music direction by Mike Skutt and choreography by Faith Dore.

New Midland Log Issue Chronicles City’s 60-Year ‘Dry’ Era
Midland County Historical Society at Midland Center for the Arts has released the Winter/Spring 2025 issue of The Midland Log. First published in 1970, the journal was refreshed in 2023 with more visuals and expanded endnotes for deeper exploration.

Josh Holliday Returns to Midland Center for the Arts as Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Sales
Midland Center for the Arts announced today that Josh Holliday will join its executive team on March 24 as Vice President of Marketing, Communications & Sales. His appointment follows the announcement earlier this month of Matt Travis as the organization’s new President and CEO. Holliday currently serves as the Director of Communications at Tennessee Performing Arts Center in Nashville, Tenn., and brings an extensive background in the arts and entertainment industry as he returns to his home state.

Space Explorers: THE INFINITE Announces Final Extension at Midland Center for the Arts
Due to continued demand, Midland Center for the Arts is extending the exclusive Midwest engagement of Space Explorers: THE INFINITE for a second and final time through April 19, 2025. Originally scheduled to run through February 23, this one-of-a-kind immersive space experience will offer audiences one last step into the cosmos on a breathtaking journey beyond Earth.

Matt Travis Named President, CEO of Midland Center for the Arts
After eight years of increasing leadership responsibility at the Midland Center for the Arts, Matt Travis has been named president and CEO.
